While painting this piece it felt a little symbolic. When putting on the initial background colors, and how bright and vibrant they were, felt like before 2020. Then 2020 and some of 2021 hit, and the colors dulled and became shadowy. The feathers represent the beginning and strive to pull the colors and beauty back through, slowly becoming bolder and brighter through time.
