Desert Color Print - Limited Edition

Back in 2000, my wife and I considered moving to Kanab, but at the time, it was a super small town and we decided it wouldn't be able to support my massage business, so we looked elsewhere.

While at my first show in Kanab for the Balloon and Tunes Festival, we arrived early to explore the area. Although we had visited or driven through several times since 2000, we never really took the time to look around after that. Places we remembered exploring had changed due to development. The wild landscape was being consumed by houses, and it felt like this small, precious desertscape was vanishing.

It was bitterly cold at the festival, with the state experiencing record amounts of snowfall. As we explored, we came upon this small hill in an area that was being developed. Knowing that it would soon be overtaken by homes, we thought we had better capture the moment before it was gone.

The original piece of artwork was done by digitally painting a photograph.

This piece is a limited edition of 250 prints.
