After painting Into the Light, I kept seeing red rock cliffs in the background, so I wanted to do another tree scene. Once the trees were done, it felt like something was missing and in my head the song, I’m coming home, kept playing over and over. After a couple of days I was doodling and forms of indigenous people started coming through, I knew right then what was missing in my painting.
The original piece of artwork was done with acrylic paint
